Description
FormalSoft, Inc. was founded by Bruce Buzbee in San Jose, California in 1986, and moved to their current location in Springville, Utah in 1993. In March 2004, FormalSoft changed its name to RootsMagic, Inc.
Although RootsMagic, Inc. has written several programs, we are probably best known as the developer of Family Origins, a genealogy program we licensed to Parsons Technology in 1990.
We continued to write every version of Family Origins, even after Parsons was bought out. Unfortunately, in early 2003, Family Origins was discontinued by the company that acquired the marketing rights from Parsons.
